Our Founder

Meet Nykole Tyson — The Woman Behind the Movement

Nykole Tyson grew up in St. Croix with a vision bigger than her surroundings, and the work ethic to match it. She didn't wait for someone to hand her a platform. She built one.

Armed with a Bachelor's in Mass Communication, Nykole carved out a career that took her from BET Weekend Magazine to CBS-TV2, from healthcare public relations to directing communications at a level that influenced real legislation. Her work in healthcare PR earned her recognition from the Centers for Disease Control, a testament to the impact she was making long before IMIH became a household name.

In 2014, Nykole launched I'm Making It Happen® — and it grew into something far bigger than a show. Today, through NT Media Productions, IMIH reaches audiences across 19 countries, five U.S. states, and Toronto, Canada. The TV show, radio show, and growing media brand have become a trusted voice for people who are done waiting and ready to act.

But the part Nykole is most proud of? The people. Since 2009, she has poured herself into mentoring, guiding young minds and community members toward their own versions of success. That commitment became The Make It Happen Foundation, Inc., which continues to invest in the next generation through scholarships, events, and community programming.
